We are living in the age where more importance is given to money, fame and success. Yes, I agree that these things are needed but they are not compulsory for the survival. What compulsory required for the survival of human race are healthy life, healthy mind and body and healthy thoughts. They say health is wealth. Well, that's absolutely true.
Being healthy means that you not only keep your physical body healthy but also you keep your mental health healthy. 'Healthy' means that your body organs, your mental thoughts, your brain and every part of your body are functioning well and are in good condition.
There are ways in which you can keep yourself healthy. Proper diet, regular exercise and meditation are some of the ways by which you can keep yourself healthy.
Diet: All the stuff that you eat throughout your day constitute your diet. The food that you eat can be divided into two parts: healthy food and unhealthy food. You need to follow the healthy food diet. Before explaining about healthy diet let us first know what is unhealthy food and which food come under these category.
Unhealthy food include the chinese food, all the burgers, pizzas and most of the restaurant stuff. Eating such junk foods once in a while is ok but you cannot make it your daily diet because they cause various diseases to the body like cardiovascular diseases, cancer,poor blood circulation and can also cause heart attack.
Healthy food consists veggies, non veg, fruits and nuts. Non veg contains lot of proteins, carbs and fats compared to vegetables. But if you make non veg your daily routine then you may end up getting unnecessary fat which can make you unhealthy. Include 40 percent carbs, 30 percent proteins and 30 percent or less than that fat. Don't include too much of fat in your diet. Also, include boiled chicken in your diet. The three main meals that you must have are breakfast, lunch and dinner. If your someone who is very weak then you can go for the fourth meal.
Sources of healthy carbs are bread, rice, wheat etc.
sources of healthy proteins are fresh meat, chicken, egg, grams etc.
Sources of fats are cheese, oil, ghee etc.
Exercise: Regular workout helps in keeping the circulation of the blood in your body. Workout doesn’t mean that you need to go to the gym and lift heavy. You can jog, do some yoga and meditation, do some stretches etc. This will allow your brain to function smoothly without any stress which will lead to the smooth functioning of the body. Meditating for 10-20 min a day is more than enough for the beginners. You can exercise either in the morning after you get up and in the evening or you can exercise at both the times. the choice is yours.
Lastly to sum up the thing: Always intake good nutrients to keep your mental and physical body healthy. A good nutrition can help you get over diseases, allergies. It can also keep you active throughout the day and increase your focus and concentration. So therefore 'health is wealth' and we should give our health the first priority.
